Minekura's comments:
A short story that was presented to the public through my pervious Home Page. For some reason, it received immense popularity. So, it made a comeback. With the manga, it couldn’t have this feel, but that’s because it didn’t have the words, right? Young kids these days know the phrase “7-11 feels good ” also, I’m sure.
Exiting the apartment, it’s a 2 minute walk.
7-11, where everything is gathered.
Daily use items and food, Sake and cigarettes and newspapers.
If you are here, I’m always happy.
7-11 feels good.
….”Welcome”

Kubo-chan is a neopheliac.
“Ah – hey, look Tokito. There’s a new miso-flavored gum.”
“Geh, that’s the worst! Don’t put it in the basket!!”
“Isn’t it ok, since I’m the one who will eat it.”
Ah-ah. He’s looking like he’s enjoying this.
Later, even if he hands it to me saying it tastes bad, I definitely won’t eat it.
Kubo-chan is a neopheliac.
He also likes unusual things the best.
Hey, am I still new?
To you, Kubo-chan, am I still unusual?
….What am I saying.
I’m being foolish.

Tokito is the single minded type.
“What’s this. I didn’t put this in the basket.”
“It’s ok. I’m into them right now. Isn’t it ok since The Great Me wants to eat them?”
My, my. Until now he seemed like the type they’d call “Calorie-mate obsessed person” or something.
It’s because after he gets tired of eating them, if any remain, I can’t punish him, isn’t it?
Tokito has extreme enthusiasm for one thing.
But, he’s earthshatteringly fickle.
Hey, are you still into me?
Or else have you gradually lost interest over time?
….Something like that.
It was a joke. A joke.

“Are you done yet, Kubo-chan? We should take it to the clerk.”
“Ah, time out a sec… Ok, it’s good.”
At the end, Kubo-chan put something in the basket.
Junko-Koshino’s tasteful design.
-----Sagami rubber’s major product.
“Stupi… Kubo-chan! You take this basket to the register!!”
“What for?”
“Not ‘What for?’!! Taking this sort of thing to the register, don’t you think it’d be super embarrassing!! Two guys, in the middle of the night like this, buying this sort of thing, obviously they’re gonna misunderstand!!”
“Eh – Isn’t it not really a misunderstanding?”
“It’s not that sort of problem, don’t you think?
“Then, I should put this back on the shelf?”
“That’s not the problem, either!”
“Then, Jan Ken…”
“It’s fine! You take it there!”
Yes, yes.
Well, at least it’s always fun seeing this reaction.
…hm?
“Tokito, I’m 42 yen short.”
“…I don’t have any.”
Well then, what shall we put back onto the shelves from inside the basket.
Huh?
It’s ok to return the snickers?
Tokito-kun.
