Once there was a child that was alone. Say that child was, because of circumstances in her family, 'A person who shouldn't exist'. So, not one of the people in his house would even talk to that child. They continued to ignore his existance, like he was transparent. Even he was uncertain about his existance. So, he began searching for something that would make him sure he existed.

No, seriously. I'm Anthey Oom. Years ago, I fell in love with an anime called Saiyuki, and collected over time all of the music disks. At first I just had a few of the image albums and maybe a vocal album. But one night at work, I was listening to my MP3 player, and became intrigued by the words that I could understand in the song, Hold the Light. I had minored in japanese in college but hadn't used it for 4 years or so. So, upon returning to my humble abode, I searched for a translation for that song on the internet, and found none at all. That's not good, I thought to myself, and set about translating it. One song lead to another, and slowly but surely I built up this collection of song translations. From song to song my grasp on the language came back and improved, plus I began listening to drama disks at work, which helped also. After a few months of that, Cleo and I founded the group Emerald Eyes, with me as the translator. Over the years I've translated for a number of groups, and my skill has continued to improve - I'll never consider myself fluent, but then again, I never thought I'd understand as much Japanese as I do now...

Anyhow, the past two and a half years have been a bit hard for me time-wise - I went back to college to get my MLT certification. I have it now, and hope that here soon I'll be able to finish the song translations that I've trailed behind on (there's at least 2 vocal albums for Saiyuki and a CD single for Wild Adapter that I still need to do!!)
